Attorney Biography

Gerald H. Oldfield has practiced law for 20 years in Kern, Tulare and Ventura counties. His primary office is located at 1670 M Street in Bakersfield. Mr. Oldfield specializes in the areas of Estate Planning, Asset Protection, Estate Administration and Family Law. In these areas, Mr. Oldfield can provide pre-marital agreements, Wills and Trusts, division of property upon divorce, Probate of Estates, Conservatorship and Guardianship. GHO.jpg

Mr. Oldfield believes that superior client service is the key to developing outstanding attorney client relationships. You will experience this in the attention to service and detail in every matter Mr. Oldfield represents you in. Transactional work and Estate Planning will be customized to your individual needs and completed quickly and accurately. Mr. Oldfield will represent you in court and aggressively protect your rights if you find yourself involved with a Dissolution of Marriage action involving substantial property,  Trust Administration and/or Litigation, or Probate proceedings.
           
Mr. Oldfield's overriding philosophy is to plan first to protect your hard earned assets to avoid losing them in a divorce, civil lawsuit, Probate, or to governmental taxation.

Mr. Oldfield is a member of the American, California, Los Angeles County, and Kern County Bar Associations. He is a member of the Kern County Bar's Probate and Estate Planning Section and is a past president of the Family Law Section. He serves on several community service boards and is president of the Board of directors of STEPS, a Bakersfield based drinking driver program.
